How it works
Sleep is entered per night and multiplied by seven. Everything else is entered per week. The hours are added up and set against the 168 hours in a week; whatever is left is shown as unaccounted for, which is often where time quietly goes.
If you add the week you would choose, each category is compared directly. Hours added and hours removed are totalled, and the difference is checked against the hours left over in your current week.
There is no right week and no score. The calculator shows where your hours go; what to do with that is yours.
What this cannot tell you
- A rota rarely repeats weekly: averages hide the hard weeks. Try your worst week as well as your average one.
- Activities overlap, such as a commute spent studying. Count each hour once, wherever it mostly belongs.
- It measures hours, not energy. An hour after a night shift is not the same as an hour on a free Sunday.
